Poor Julia Gillard is having a rough trot lately! 

Julia Gillard has lost her shoe once again, except this time she lost her shoe in wonderful face plant fashion!  This latest incident was in New Delhi where the Prime Minister has been on a three day visit to India. 

She nearly made it too…but alas, she had to face plant on the very last day of the visit!

After getting her heel stuck in wet grass while on a tour of the Gandhi Memorial, Gillard stumbled, tripped, then fell down breaking the fall with her hands.  Indian minders rushed to her aid to help her back to her feet and put her shoe back on, but the PM was fine saying, “It’s ok, I’m alright”.

Gillard laughed the fall off (as did much of Australia), though her face plant which was in full view of media made New Delhi news headlines.  One presenter commented on the Prime Minister’s good humour as she joked about the fall.

"I'm fine. For men who get to wear flat shoes all day every day, if you wear a heel it can get embedded in soft grass and when you pull your foot out the shoe doesn't come and the rest of it is as you saw," Gillard said.

I bet she wants to kick herself with those heels now!
