Orville the cat was aptly named after aviator Orville Wright of the Wright Brothers and was the beloved pet of Dutch artist Bart Jansen. What we may call creepy, Jansen calls “half cat, half machine”. Orville the cat is better known these days as ‘The Orvillecopter’. Orville was stuffed after his fatal run in with a car, then had specially designed flying mechanisms attached to his body. Jansen said of the cat, "after a period of mourning he received his propellers posthumously". The artist added the cat "will receive more powerful engines and larger props for his birthday," and it won’t be long until Orville is, "flying with the birds”. Awesome or creepy??
