The Mac Virus Strikes Back!

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G-DaNh-NWIA/T3rZK5ZZe1I/AAAAAAAABUg/aE_hHrJPh-Q/s1600/apple-full2.jpgIn 1976 a company by the name of Apple released their first product called "The Apple 1" personal computer, a device hand built by one of the co-founders.

The Apple 1 was a revolutionary product designed to make life easy in "the big world" and sold for $666.00 which equates to roughly $2600 in today's monetary value.

In 1977 the Apple 2 was introduced, a faster, more powerful model and incorporated more ram, a faster brain and a floppy drive! And the rest is history.

Today, Apple is known for its revolutionary products like the iPod, iPhone, iPad, the Apple Macbook/iMac and of course their fantastic marketing skills.

So what exactly am i talking about i hear you say?

Roughly 10 years ago Apple started a fairly hectic marketing campaign to push the sales of their personal computers higher then ever expected. Their goal was to have a Mac computer in every household, school, university and workplace.

People all over the world at this point in time were already on to IBM computers, set in their ways and not wanting to change systems or learn how mac software operated.

Apple's come back to this was the fact that their systems at the time were not prone to viruses, helping almost 50% of users change to Apple computers overnight.

No Viruses… UNTIL NOW!

Within the last two years the talk of possible viruses for the Apple operating system have become closer and closer, unfortunately they have arrived and systems are no longer safe!

The need to run anti virus, Malware and system protection software is a must even for the novice user occasionally browsing the web and checking the local football scores.
