The state’s biggest energy retailer is blaming “ill considered” decisions by state governments for regulating electricity prices in cutting back on customer discounts in future contracts.

The company will also suspend further investment in power infrastructure.

AGL Energy says it’ll significantly scale back marketing activities in this state where it has about half the market share after a draft pricing decision by ESCOSA to reduce the standing contract price.
