Alano Water A private company proposing a wastewater treatment plant outside Callington say it’ll have no impact on the Bremer River.

Alano Water director Mark Catalano says odours will be controlled and strict state government guidelines will ensure none of the nightmares suggested by locals would come true.

Mr Catalano claims the plant would also see cheap A class water for irrigators and residents.

About 40 residents attended a hastily arranged public meeting last Thursday – a day before public submissions closed with Murray Bridge council.
