schoolies Schoolies are looking abroad for fun - snubbing traditional party destinations such as Victor Harbor.

But the attraction of cheap trips to South Pacific islands has prompted safety warnings from the Department of Foreign Affairs, South Coast schoolies organisers and parents' groups.

A schoolies-only travel agent claims its figures show at least 3000 students are prepared to head overseas.

The company offers trips from Adelaide to "small, coral-fringed islands" in Fiji and Vanuatu
