Police have searched for an elderly Bridgewater man missing in the Hills.

A helicopter was used (Tuesday) to help locate 71-year-old Allan Baker who was reported missing from his home when he was due to be picked up.

Mr Baker was last seen near the Bridgewater oval and police said they are concerned for his welfare due to the thick vegetation in the area and cold overnight temperatures.

Police said he usually wears a brown suede jacket with blue jeans or RM Williams trousers.

He is most likely to be in the Bridgewater, Aldgate, Stirling area.
