budgeting A new survey suggests people would prefer their household bills reduced before receiving a pay rise or for interest rates to remain low.
The latest findings of the Daymark Community Monitor coincide with yesterday’s Reserve Bank announcement and the newest interest rate cut of a quarter of one percent.
It also found 34% of Australians consider the Federal Government has the most influence over their personal economic wellbeing.
Richard Peters from Daymark says households are looking for help on essential services to ease the financial pressure.
