A Victorian-based development company has won an emergency data LGA of SA contract worth $143,000.

LGA president and Alexandrina Mayor Kim McHugh says it applies to the tool EARS or Emergency Assessment Reporting System, a new cloud based data collection portal.

Mayor McHugh says the safety of communities during emergencies is paramount and councils, coupled with emergency services, need to have ‘real time’ information on the impact of disaster situations.
