The Liberal Opposition claims regional SA has lost 9,000 jobs since Jay Weatherill took over as Premier.

Over 5,000 jobs were lost in August alone according to shadow regional development minister Dan van Holst Pellekaan.

ABS figures show a loss of 2177 from southern and eastern regions in that month.

He’s called on the Premier to hold an emergency economic summit because of what’s described as a ‘jobs crisis’ in regional SA.
