A 58 year old man from Ironbank is in a stable but critical condition in hospital after he was trapped when a tree fell on him last week.

Dennis Smith was helping to remove debris from a fallen stringy-bark when another tree crashed down late Thursday night.

Locals say Mr Smith is the sort of resident who’d go out of his way to help anyone.
