More windy and perhaps damaging weather is to hit regional areas.

The Bureau of Meteorology says damaging winds will sweep across much of the southwest of the state and Kangaroo Island before a storm front hits Adelaide about midnight. The strong winds are expected to hit Adelaide mid-afternoon.

The northerly winds may reach gale force at times averaging 50-65 km/h with gusts of 90-100 km/h. These winds may cause localised damage and areas of raised dust can also be expected. They should temporarily ease overnight.
