The Weatherill Government’s hopes of a favourable solution for the River Murray have been boosted by legal advice.

It shows Federal Parliament can’t reject the final plan.

Meanwhile some of our old riverboats are steaming up the Murray to take part in the largest gathering of heritage vessels on the river for more than 50 years.

The 1910-built PS Industry from Renmark will be joined by the Oscar W from Goolwa and the PS Marion from Mannum for the trip to Mildura.

They’ll take part in the PS Melbourne Centenary Festival in Mildura on Sunday.
