| A basic requirement – and they fail! |
|
1 in 4 people taking a learner driver's permit test don’t know enough about basic road rules to pass according to the Transport Department. Their figures show that, in the past financial year, more than 53,000 passed the simple theory test and over 27,600 failed. Of those nearly 5,000 failed a second attempt. The RAA says it’s a worry that basic questions about passing and give-way rules are the most common stumbling block for drivers seeking a learner's permit |
