There’s a schools maintenance funding boost by the Weatherill Government.

Education Minister Grace Portolesi says $32 million would be provided over the next two years for schools and preschools.

It would mean about $32,000 per year for each school and cannot be rolled over.

Ms Portolesi says the money is being provided in response to schools' requests for extra funding.

She claims it’ll not only help improve the facilities in schools but also provide work for local businesses and tradespeople, such as painters, carpenters and tilers.
