The Murray Darling Basin water plan fight begins

river murray 2 Taxpayer-funded advertisements feature South Australians telling their drought stories, as the Weatherill Government fights the revised Murray-Darling Basin water plan.

The ads are costing $2 million.

Premier Jay Weatherill claims they’ll sell the message of South Australia needing higher environmental flows down the river.

Stories include 10-year-old Sophie Chaplin from Milang and fisherman Henry Jones who has lived and worked in the lower lakes for more than half a century.
