Charles and Suigi from Cambrai, France have embarked on the journey of a lifetime cycling from Cambrai to Cambrai, right here in South Australia.

Over the last 18 months, the pair have cycled across three continents, 25 000 kilometres to arrive in Cambrai, SA and the Murray Plains’ Cambrai are nothing short of excited!

Charles and Suigi are expected to arrive at the Cambrai Hotel between 1 and 1:30pm Friday, the 3rd August 2012.

The township, thanks to the efforts of publican Annie Wilden, have put together a program to celebrate Charles and Suigi’s success and are urging all families to help celebrate.

• Friday 3^rd August – 1 – 1.30pm Welcome as they arrive at the Cambrai Hotel, for a short freshen up and beer.
• Friday 3^rd August – Charles & Siugi ride ½ km from Cambrai Hotel to Meldanda site arriving before 2.30pm.
• Friday 3rd August: Welcome by Cambrai Area School and the community, as Charles and Suigi ride onto the Meldanda site at 2.30 (time to be confirmed)
• Friday 3rd August:  Aussie BBQ at the Cambrai Hotel - cocktails and jukebox entertainment
• Saturday 4^th: August: Quiet Day for the boys to rest, relax and informally meet with locals & visitors at the hotel
• Saturday 4^th August: Formal Six-Course Dinner  "French Connection" ($ 55 per person, by invitation) serving French champagne on arrival. Live music and entertainment.
• Sunday 5^th August: Lions Club of Ridley Market Day at Cambrai Hotel venue 12 noon - 4pm



• Sunday 5^th August: Social Fun event -Mallee Sky Observatory - Cambrai Hotel Social Club event and dinner at the Wunkar Tavern near Loxton.
• Monday 6^th August - Tour of the Local Area - Black Hill, Shell Hill, Mannum and Saunders Gorge, Pine Hut stone hedge drive.
• Tuesday 7^th August - Charles & Siugi Farewell Cambrai to meet friends in Adelaide.
