Eight of the Murray-Darling Basin’s 16 internationally recognised wetlands are at risk under the current revised plan.

And new research claims that at least two of three in South Australia will be “unprotected”.

Sites at risk include the Coorong and Lower Lakes.

The research has been released to coincide with a meeting of the Ramsar Convention in Romania.
