They’ve been described as serial house-sitters, or living in caravans, just to keep a roof over their heads.

That’s what the Australian Education Union says.

Teachers in the mid north of the state – an area which has struggled to attract teachers - have told the union they’re at their wits' end.

A Kangaroo Island teacher says he’s living in sub-standard, somewhat basic accommodation, subsidised by the State Government.
