The South Coast and Mid Murray miss out on stage starts and finishes to the 2013 Tour Down Under.

Mt Barker however will host a start for the first time while Rostrevor in the suburbs will host a stage finish.

Next year’s Tour features a grass start while Stage 1 from Prospect to Lobethal will include three sprints in the Hills – the first stage to ever include as many sprints.

The longest stage – distance wise – is Stage 5 from McLaren Vale to Old Willunga Hill – 151.5 kms.
