Higher power bills can be avoided

carbon tax Hills residents are paying some of the highest electricity bills in the country according to statistics.

The figures show householders who have signed up with consumer group ‘One Big Switch’ in Crafers, Stirling and Mt Lofty are paying an average yearly power bill of almost $3500.

That’ll rise further next month when the carbon tax adds 4.6%, or $156, a year
