The State Government has committed $2 million to its campaign fighting for the future of the River Murray.

But it doesn’t include any money earmarked for a possible High Court challenge to the final MD Basin rescue plan due to go to Federal Parliament for a vote later this year.

Premier Jay Weatherill claims the money would help bring the community's opinion to the forefront of the national debate on the river.
