The Gillard Government has missed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by failing to protect areas west of KI from oil and gas activity.

The Greens Penny Wright says the KI canyons have been left vulnerable by the government’s latest marine parks proposal.

Senator Wright claims the government has failed to listen to the concerns of residents, instead leaving the Island as a very real threat of an oil spill.
