As two male giraffes settle into their new home at the Halls Gap zoo in Victoria - staff at Monarto Zoo (where the giraffes were born) say they were surprised when one of their cheetahs gave birth.

The cub is in the care of zookeepers, as cheetahs usually fail to produce enough milk to feed just a single offspring.

The female cheetah is yet to be named and is in a humidicrib, being fed every four hours and putting on weight.
