Former politician David Wotton from Stirling is one of 540 Queens Birthday honour recipients.

Mr Wotton is made a member AM in the general division for service to the Parliament and the community of South Australia.

There are 75 South Australians.

Other local appointments include Professor Graeme John Hugo from Eden Hills, Dr Richard Smith of Belair, Dr Robert Sharrad of Aldgate, Graham Coldwell of Stirling, Mostyn Hancock of Willunga, Dr John Lloyd of Blackwood and Aldinga-based Paul Rosser.
