State government work to remove the Clayton Bay temporary flow regulator is continuing.

The next phase of the project – removal of sand by a barge-mounted excavator – has already started.

Some of this sand material came out last September.

The government also reminds vessels travelling through the Goolwa channel they must give way to the working barges taking the sand to Hindmarsh Island.
