Poor Blue Ivy!  She can’t have it all, after all…

Jay-Z and Beyonce have reportedly lost their bid to trademark their daughter’s name – Blue Ivy.

After Blue Ivy’s birth in January, the couple filed papers to protect and own the rights to her name, but alas another company already operates under the name Blue Ivy! 

Fail!

Blue Ivy Events is a party planning company in Boston and has used the name Blue Ivy since 2009, therefore Bey and Jay-Z can’t legally trademark their daughters name!

According to reports, Beyonce was planning on launching her own children’s clothing line using her daughters name.  Hmmmm what to call the line now?

In a recent interview President Barack Obama revealed that he often chats with Jay-Z about being a new Dad and has even given him some parenting advice!

“They’ve got a new daughter.  I made sure Jay-Z was helping out and not leaving it all to mom and the mother-in-law,” President Obama said.

Perhaps the US President should have given them this heads up!
