Earth is no match for Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am, he’s going to take on Mars instead!

The singer has teamed up with NASA to premiere his aptly named single Reach for the Stars through the the speakers of the Curiosity rover on Mars.

NASA officials will host a listening event for students of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California on Tuesday and will announce a new educational initiative to partner with will.i.am’s charity the i.am.angel Foundation.

Will.i.am’s i.am.angel Foundation was launched in 2009 to transform young people’s lives through inspiration, education and opportunity.

The curiosity rover landed on Mars earlier this month as part of NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory mission and will investigate climate, geology, water, planetary habitability, future human exploration and the possibility of supporting life.
