Sneaky, sneaky!

Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger have not only been secretly dating for the last six months, but they’re engaged!

Chad Kroeger’s romance reportedly began as colleagues when they collaborated on a track for Lavigne’s fifth album set for release in February. 

A source has told People magazine that their friendship quickly turned into love.

“A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together.  He makes her so happy”.

The rest is history as they say, and the pair have been dating now for six months.  Chad Kroeger popped the question with a 14-carat diamond ring and Avril accepted his proposal!

Avril told Hello magazine, "He makes me laugh every day. He takes care of me in every way and is extremely attentive."

Chad Kroeger is equally in love saying, “I knew I was falling for her. It was incredibly powerful and something I'll never forget. I feel like the luckiest person alive."

A source close to the family said of the engagement, “Both of their families could not be more excited”.
