Oprah’s interview with Rihanna is set to reveal all with a promo showing just how vulnerable the superstar can be.

Rihanna has opened up to Oprah in a tell-all interview that’s even surprised Oprah.  Winfrey released a teaser video of the the interview in the build up to it’s broadcast on August 19.

Oprah begins the interview by stating she thought, “she [Rihanna] would have been kind of a bad-ass, kind of a rocker hard-edge woman - nothing could have been farther from the truth”.

The questions that many a reporter have been told off by Rihanna for asking, are apparently OK when they come from Oprah Winfrey.  When asked about her split from former boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna explains how she “lost her best friend”.

The singer becomes emotional when asked about Chris Brown brutally assaulting her in February of 2009.  Rihanna explained that she found the assault “humiliating” and was left in a “dark” place after their break-up.

"It was embarrassing…it was humiliating. I lost my best friend. I was resentful. I held a grudge. I was dark," Rihanna explains.

Oprah travelled to Rihanna’s home of Barbados to conduct the interview and will be aired at 9pm on Sunday, August 19th for Oprah’s Next Chapter on OWN.
