| Winehouse inquest re-do |
|
It’s been revealed that the coroner in charge of the inquest regarding Amy Winehouse’s death was not qualified to do the job. Therefore, the inquest may be deemed invalid and need to be redone. Australian Suzanne Greenway should have been a solicitor in the Law Society for at least five years, but had only been involved for two and a half when the Winehouse investigation took place. She also should have served five years as a qualified medical practitioner, though only qualified as a nurse in Australia. Her husband says that he made an error by appointing her. In October, Greenway declared Amy Winehouse died due to “unintended consequence” of excessive alcohol consumption. After completing her investigation, Ms Greenway resigned from her position just one month after making the verdict. Now, all thirty inquests she worked on including Winehouse’s may be declared illegal. |
