Russell Crowe has finally opened up about his split from his wife Danielle Spencer, but not in the form of a public statement – via a celebrity’s best friend, Twitter.
While the couple of nine years are yet to make a formal statement and have kept tight lipped on reports of their split, Russell Crowe has taken to Twitter revealing he is in fact feeling the effects of the separation. A couple of days following the split, it was reported that Crowe tweeted, “all missed the girl from Rose Bay”, which is thought to be a reference to his wife. Spencer lives with their sons, Tennyson, 6, and Charles, 8 in Rose Bay, Sydney. The Sun has reported that a fan tweeted Crowe about the split and Russell actually responded – the first time he’s spoken about the separation since the news broke. Sarah: “Heard about your separation today. I said a prayer for you and your family.” Russell: “Hey Sarah, that was very kind of you. Thank you for your thoughts.” It is believed that Crowe’s filming schedules and distance from his family are the causes behind the separation. Crowe is currently residing in New York while he films the epic biblical film Noah.
