Danielle Spencer’s dance partner on Dancing With The Stars has adamantly denied playing any role in Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer’s separation.

Word of Rusty and wife of nine years, Danielle Spencer’s split earlier this week has sparked rumours and a blame game which has placed her Dancing With The Stars partner directly in the firing line. 

LA based performer Damien Whitewood featured on the show as Danielle's dance partner earlier this year has had the finger pointed at him as being the “other man” in the relationship and causing the split.  Their chemistry on the dance floor also had tongues wagging.

Whitewood has spoken out in his own defence on Today Tonight, stating that, "When I was in the dance studio Danielle was giving me 100 per cent of that dance. She never showed one bit there was problems whatsoever."

Trouble began once the show had wrapped, however.

Whitewood said, "Once we'd wrapped and finished, she said things weren't great. And that's pretty much as far as the conversation went."

Spencer’s dance partner maintains that the two have a “friendship” and “console each other”, but their relationship is strictly professional.

"Maybe I'm just good at transforming them into good dancers and creating the heart behind a dance show. That's what I'm there to do," he stated.
