Chris Brown & Drake Brawl

imageChris Brown is in trouble again and certainly not doing much for his reputation after getting in a brawl with Drake at a New York nightclub, reportedly over Rihanna.

The Fight

Chris Brown and Drake have long feuded over Drake’s brief relationship with singer Rihanna after Chris Brown and Rihanna broke up in 2009.

It has been reported that both Brown and Drake were at the W.i.P nightclub when the fight broke out between the pair and their entourages.

It is believed that Brown sent a bottle of champagne to Drake’s table as a peace offering, before the bottle was returned with a note that read, “I’m f***ing the love of your life, deal with it.”

A brawl then broke out between the pair and their entourages, with some reports claiming rapper Meek Mill, who was out with Drake’s camp, instigated the argument by harassing Brown about Rihanna.

Bottles were tossed across the club, punches were reportedly thrown and police have revealed a 25 year old man suffered a serious cut on his head, a 24 year old Australian woman required stitches and two men and two women received minor cuts.

It is speculated that up to 30 people took sides and began throwing bottles during the brawl.

The Aftermath

imageChris Brown left the nightclub with a gash to his chin.  Brown posted this (left) photo on Twitter along with a tweet, “How u party with rich n***** that hate? Lol....Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!"

The photo and tweet were both removed, though Brown’s publicist  released a statement which read,

“Chris, Karrueche and his friends were victims of a brutal attack last night at W.i.P.  they sustained several injuries.  Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further.”

On the other hand, a representative from Drake’s camp are claiming a similar story.

"Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began."

While charges are yet to be laid, celebrity lawyers have speculated that if authorities, or Chris Brown’s probation officer find Brown instigated the brawl, legally the altercation could revoke his probation for getting into a fight.

The attack could quite possibly be considered “assault with a deadly weapon” should authorities find Drake or one of Drake’s entourage threw a bottle at Brown first.

The Aussie Caught in the Crossfire

Young Aussie tourist, known only as Hollie C, was at the nightclub at the time of the incident and was hit in the head by a flying bottle.

It has been reported Hollie was taken to hospital and received 16 stitches to her face as a direct result of the bottle hitting her.

NYPD spokesperson Lieutenant John Grimpel stated,

“At approximately 4am she was in a club, a fight broke out and she was hit in the head with glass, causing a laceration.  She’s 24. She is from Australia visiting and she’s leaving on Monday. She had a minor cut to her head.  She’s a victim right now, so she’s been interviewed.”

Lieutenant Grimpel also confirmed that no one was seriously injured in the altercation, and names and statements of witnesses will not be released as the investigation is ongoing.

Hollie C, 24, told TMZ, "Within a few moments of noticing glass being thrown around, I saw a glass bottle headed towards me, consequently hitting me in the head.  I immediately started to bleed and proceeded to fall in and out of consciousness.  I had to take the subway home with no money or jacket. Nobody would even sit beside me. My friends were so scared because they did not know where I was.”
