Delta spills to Vogue Australia

It’s been over a year since the couple ended their engagement, but Delta Goodrem finally opened up about her relationship to Brian McFadden.  In the July issue of the magazine Delta said, “there is so much I’d like to say. I was really unhappy and I didn’t know how to get out. I learnt. I got there in the end”.

"I feel like it's a totally different chapter; I feel like I'm back to being me again," she added.

Delta made similar comments about her relationship with Brian McFadden on 60 Minutes.

At the time of the split it was reported that friends of Delta Goodrem suspected Brian McFadden’s insecurities were the cause for the pair to go their separate ways.  McFadden was seen as the bad boy, whereas the public saw Delta as ‘Australia’s darling’, putting McFadden in the backseat to Delta’s success.

"In some ways, it was hard for him to be the back seat to the Delta Show,” one source was quoted in saying.

In a statement released by the pair following the split, they explained the decision was based on “soul searching” and the fact that they had grown apart.

Brian hits back at Delta

image Brian McFadden was clearly perplexed by the comments made by his ex-girlfriend Delta Goodrem in the magazine as well as 60 Minutes and did what any celebrity would do in his situation…tweet it.

While at the APRA music awards, Brian posted on Twitter, "Sometimes silence is golden. People love to try and deflect attention from their own downfalls onto others".

In another tweet, “And for the record. I've seen it all before!!”

Randomly want to thank Vogue Williams for making me the happiest man on the planet," referring to his current fiancée.

After Delta Goodrem’s interview with 60 Mintues aired, McFadden posted the following, "I leave my car for 60 minutes and some idiot stole all my hostage equipment. Guess I have to hope Vogue Williams can't escape."

It was reported by The Daily Telegraph that both Brian and Delta agreed not to talk publicly about the split and even signed a confidentiality agreement.

Management for both parties are staying tight-lipped stating they have “no comment”.

Lawyers?

Brian McFadden has squashed any rumours that he is seeking legal action over Goodrem’s breach of contract by discussing the terms of their relationship and split publicly.

In response to an article in the Herald Sun McFadden tweeted, "I'm not considering legal action. I also wouldn't stoop as low as her. If I did it would change everything. But I'm happy!"

Wow.  “…stoop as low as her.”

Ouch.
