FINALLY! Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson have given birth to baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson. After what felt like the longest pregnancy in the history of celebrity pregnancies, Jessica Simpson and her footballer fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed their baby girl at a Los Angeles hospital early yesterday morning. The singer announced the news on her official website (picture below) with baby Maxi weighing in at nine pounds, 13 ounces. Simpson’s mother Tina and sister Ashlee were both present for the baby’s arrival according to TMZ.com. While social media has a lot to say about the couple’s first child’s name, there is a method behind the madness. Maxwell is Johnson’s middle name and his mothers maiden name, while Drew is the maiden name of Simpson’s mother. She’s been dubbed America’s Most Pregnant, a fitting description considering it feels like an eternity that she’s been carrying this child, and even the celebs were starting to get worried. Katy Perry recently tweeted, "Has Jessica Simpson had that baby yet?! I'm getting anxious”. Chelsea Handler also jumped on the bandwagon tweeting, "How has jessica simpson still not given birth to this baby? I'm getting frightened”. Gossip sites reported the singer as six months pregnant in October 2011, therefore making her pregnant for almost a year. Clearly that was a miscalculation.
