For the last two years, if you tuned your radio to Power FM at 8.50 on a Tuesday morning, you may have laughed, cringed or perhaps cried.  You've got Steve Murphy to thank for that!

Now we're counting down the most 'loved' Tragic Tuesday Trashy Tracks.
Here's how we're going so far...

10.  Con the Fruiterer - 'Cuppla Days' [1989]

8.   Morris Minor&the Majors - 'Stutter Rap (No Sleep 'til Bedtime)' [1988]

For a song to be classified a Tragic Tuesday Trashy Track it had to fill these criteria:

1. The song had to have been a hit in the last 30 years (although he made an exception for "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" by Rolf Harris, which was a hit in 1960!)
2. It was actually a song (as opposed to a "spoken word track")
3. Not be your normal every day song and/or artist, i.e a "novelty" hit.

We don't know what's more scary - the fact that all these songs were hits or that Steve has them all in his collection!
Steve has finally run out of tragic tracks and from Tuesday July 27th he'll be counting down the top 10 as voted by you.

Steve said he wants to pay respect to these "classic" songs... we think it's so he can prolong the tragic-ness for another 10 weeks!
Steve would like to salute all the artists involved in making these great songs, but in particular, Crazy Frog and "Weird Al" Yankovic for contributing a significant number of tracks.
