A study looking at more than 43,000 tweets determined how to be social media ‘Cool’.

Things to do include:

1. Keep your opinions to yourself,

2. Don't document the most mundane aspects of your life

3. Don't engage in long conversations with your followers, and

4. Stay away from boring greetings.

Most importantly, the best way to attract more followers or to keep your ‘friends’ happy is to Ask questions, be funny, be informative and be random.
