Ok ok… you’re not going to get chomped!

Yesterday I had a chat to Lawrence from “World Famous Fish n Chips” in Husky, about a fairly big Mako Shark Which he’s got on display in the Shop. (along with his Trophy for Power FM’s Boss of the Year for hospitality!)

With the fisherman inside me never far from the surface, after work I dragged the Girlfriend and the dog down to Husky so I could have a look for myself:

The 5.5 foot Mako Shark, which weighs around 60 kilos, was caught by the Fisherman who catch the rest of the fish for the Shop, and has now taken pride of place in the centre of the shop, where everyone is free to touch and admire it.

It was pretty amazing to be able to feel the teeth – they might not look as hardcore as a Great White Shark’s, but they’re still razor sharp!

There was another smaller Mako on display, although in this case, smaller doesn’t necessarily mean “Cuter”…

Lawrence told me, after he had a chat to us, another local Fisho called him and offered him a different kind of shark, A Blue Shark – this one weighs around 75 kilos, and was too big to fit in one camera shot!

So in Husky, It’s not a Fish n Chips shop anymore, it’s a Fish n Chips n Shark shop!
