Emma charged through the first day, taking second place in her first and second round heats (4 people in each heat), and even earning some accolades in the press releases after day one…

“Emma Cobb (AUS) was a standout amongst the ladies, drawing clean lines and negotiating through a long barrels, showing that she deserves a spot in the quarter finals…”

“The Women’s event started off the day with two rounds completed as the swell started to pick up. Aoi Koike, from Japan, and Australian, Emma Cobb, were the standouts in round two, getting nine plus barrel rides at Backdoor and Pipe respectively…”

Emma made it into the quarter finals, and came a close 3rd in her heat, meaning equal ninth.

At the time of posting, there are no video highlights available from day 4, so in the meantime, Here’s highlights of day 3 – including an insane men's final!
