Woman Tells Her Side Of The Story: "Everybody who came into the church could see I was painting."

Until 2 days ago no one really knew that there is a small church in the Spanish town of Borja, that’s had a painting sitting there since the 1800s.  This oil painting was done by Elias Garcia Martinez and shows Jesus looking up.

It’s not a very valuable painting and it didn't take too long to paint (like 2 hours), but it held a lot of sentimental value for the locals.  One elderly local thought that it was such a shame the painting fall into disrepair that she, without seeking permission (or even advice) took it upon herself to go about bringing it back to it’s former glory.  Except it really didn't pan out that way.

She quickly released that things had ‘gotten out of hand’ when her efforts pretty much sucked.  She contacted the local cultural heritage institution and confessed her fail effort.

These experts are now assessing to see if the painting can be saved at all.

The woman has spoken out, says the priest ‘told her to do it’

This has since gone viral on the internet with people adding their own interpretations, versions other photoshopped efforts of fun.
