The Greens have announced they will be directing their preferences to sitting councillor Larry Whipper at next month's Wingecarribee Council elections.

Cr Jim Clarke, who heads up the Greens ticket, says the group felt Cr Whipper's team is the one which has the most in common with conservation principles.

Cr Clarke says beyond Cr Whipper's team, no further preferences will be allocated.

The Greens councillor has accused former councillor Nick Campbell - Jones of meddling in the campaign, saying while he is  not a candidate, he has been pushing for the removal of those supporting the re-development of the Moss Vale pool.

Cr Clarke says if Mr Campbell Jones is so interested in the outcome of the elections he should stood himself and not worked in a backroom capacity.
