Bones Found In Backyard Near Bowral Possibly Human

police logo Bones have been located in the backyard of a home near Bowral during landscaping works.

Police have commenced investigating what could possibly be human remains found by the home owner when constructing a garden bed.

The owner of the property in Knowles Rd Aylmerton contacted police Thursday morning upon making the discovery.

A crime scene was established while detectives and forensic experts removed the bones for testing.

Initial indications on some of the smaller bones indicate they are non-human. However further testing needs to be conducted on several larger bone fragments.

Anyone with information to assist police are urged to contact crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
