Wingecarribee Council has finally received a development application from McDonalds for the construction of a 24 hour restaurant at Moss Vale.

The fast food giant is proposing to demolish the existing residence at the corner of Argyle Street and the Illawarra Highway and build a 102 seat restaurant, 34 space carpark and a drive through facility with two waiting bays.

The exterior of the modern building will be a dark chocolate brown colour and the proposal includes entry and exit points from Argyle Street and the Highway.

Council will seek an independent architectural assessment of the building to determine whether the design is in keeping with the existing streetscape as the site is a prominent entry gateway to Moss Vale.

The application has been neighbour notified and comment is being sought from Roads and Maritime Services about traffic impacts from the development.
