pollice logo A toddler has been rushed to hospital in Sydney after falling out of the back of  his father's ute on a wood cutting expedition near Picton.

Police say the three year old was standing on the tray of the ute late yesterday ( sun ) afternoon  while his father was reversing a trailer load of wood.

The 34 year old father stopped after feeling a bump, and found his son beside the vehicle, and suffering from cuts and abrasions to the face and upper body.

He was taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead, where doctors say the injuries are not life threatening.

The father has undergone mandatory blood and urine testing, with police yet to receive the results.
