Fatality Fears If Shooting Is Allowed In Morton Nat Park

A former ranger says the state government  is dicing with danger by allowing shooting in National Parks on the south coast and southern highlands.

Hunting will be allowed in a series of parks across New South Wales including Morton, which runs over a huge area from Bundanoon to west of Nowra and Ulladulla.

While the state says safety measures will be in place , former ranger Terry Barratt says he fears someone will be killed or seriously injured by wandering into an area where hunting is allowed.

Mr  Barratt says his greatest fear is the shooters are  amateurs, not professionals
