Wingecarribee Councillor Larry Whipper has announced the third member of his  "People Power "  team to stand for this year's Local Government elections.

Cr Whipper will be joined by Liam O'Hara, with the other member of the team announced last week Tom Tziallas.

Mr O'Hara went to secondary school in the area, and has lived on and off in the region since 1988.

For the last 14 years he has worked as an economist, both in Sydney and in Canberra.

Now living in the southern highlands,  the  father to two currently  runs a consultancy firm,  Reality Economics.

Mr O'Hara says while his background is economics, he does not believe growth should be the end game of the region, but it should go hand in hand with the areas natural beauty.
