A man has been detained after being caught driving at close to twice the speed limit on the Hume Highway , at the start of the first day of the Queens Birthday long weekend. The man was clocked on radar near Gundagai at 203 in a 110 zone , just before 7 on Saturday morning. With double demerits in force, the man faces a hefty loss of points. There have been two fatalities in New South Wales so far, one on the Sturt Highway near Euston on the NSW / VIC border, and the other at Pearl Beach on the central coast. |
