Shoalhaven and Wingecarribee  fire authorities are once again warning householders to be vigilant when using heaters and cooking appliances following a spate of structural fires over the last fortnight.

Fire crews have been busy attending more than a dozen fires around Nowra, North Nowra, Milton, the Bay and Basin area and Wingello.

The latest fire occurred yesterday (wed) morning at a home at the north eastern corner of  Millbank and Greenwell Point Roads at Worrigee.

Two people were treated for smoke inhalation, and one was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for observation.

The house suffered significant structural damage and depending upon the outcome of specialist inspections may  have to be demolished.
