Police have been accused of mounting an operation which brought back memories of the storm troopers in Nazi Germany, during the recent crackdown on truckies on the Hume Highway.

Operation Herculean was  conducted a few weeks ago on the Hume Highway at Marulan, and targeted drink and drug effected drives and transport offences.

One Marulan resident says there were scene not un-like  NAZI GERMANY, with particular  concerns about sniffer dogs being around children.

Wingercarribee Councillor LARRY WHIPPER says  police from the Goulburn Local Area Command  have offered to sit down and talk about the operation which he believes  has raised the ire of a lot of local law abiding citizens
